History of Art History

Pre-requisites: The course requirements are passed exams in Writing on Art, Methodology of Art History, as well as completed attendance to lectures in Theory of Art.

Course objectives: The goal of the course is to introduce the idea of changeability of art history, to point at various sources for its history and to classify issues that have occurred throughout the periods of its development.

Course description: Authors (the most prominent authors, experts, research groups or schools). Phenomenons (the most important points concerned with the art history and its scientific, historical, professional or practical elements and issues). Processes within the development of modern art history as the science from the middle of the XVIII century to the early XXI century.

Learning Outcomes: The course is designed to provoke the self-awareness about the occupation of art historian that has its history and possible directions of future development that should be influenced on.
