Philosophy of Set Theory

Pre-requisites: None

Course objectives: Through this basic course in set theory, students should get acquainted with some parts of that theory that are especially interesting from the philosophical point of view as well as with some important philosophical problems concerning that theory.

Course description: Zermelo-Fraenkel set theory, constructible universe, strong axioms of infinity etc.

Learning Outcomes: The student who has mastered this material will be able to appreciate philosophically interesting mathematical problems from the standpoints of modern achievements.
