Course objectives: An introduction to the main institutions of the Republic: formation and change.
Course description: Imperium, potestas. Magistrates. Senate. Roman Assemblies. Each of these concepts will be studied not by era but as a historical phenomenon.
Learning Outcomes: Knowledge of Roman Republican institutions - as a necessary step in understanding Roman history.
