Pre-requisites: Prerequisite for this course is a minimum of one course exam passed on history of thought/ideas at an undergraduate or graduate level.
Course objectives: The objective of this course is for students to further their knowledge of methodology of historical ideas in general, specifically in the area of sociology.
Course description: The framework for this course is to critically re-examine theoretical-cognitive and methodological problems from classical social theory and literature.
Learning Outcomes: Doctoral candidates will be able to creatively employ a legacy of sociological ideas in their future theoretical work.
