Admission Requirements: An entrance condition for enrollment in a Bachelor’s study program is to have graduated full high school, approved entrance examination scores, and acceptance to study program. Transfer Regulations: Rules for transferring are set in connection with the Faculty of Philosophy Statute. It is mandatory for a student to have the sufficient number of ECTS credits within the adequate study group allowing a student to transfer or take the differential exam.

Process of Studying: A student with achieved Bachelor’s degree in Psychology will be equipped with the knowledge and understanding of psychological phenomena, facts and laws; will be skilled at using research methods and techniques; will be perceptive of psychological occurrences and their biological, contextual, social and personal characteristics and conditions; will acquire outstanding ability to communicate; and will be qualified to teach Psychology in high schools.

Educational and Professional Goals: A Bachelor’s study program in Psychology is oriented towards acquiring knowledge and skills in the area of Psychology, obtaining abilities for fulfilling minor professional responsibilities as well as towards continuing education.

Course Selection / ECTS: The credit system at the Faculty of Philosophy conforms to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). One academic year corresponds to 60 ECTS credits. First three years of studying (6 semesters) correspond to 180 ECTS credits, while modules correspond to 60 ECTS credits, and each unit corresponds to 6 – 18 ECTS credits. The practical section of the adequate course corresponds to 4 – 6 ECTS credits, and it is conducted in the eighth semester. It is the credit accumulation system and corresponding grades of credits are allocated to subjects that form a part of the study program.

Admission Requirements: An entrance condition for enrollment in a follow-up Master’s study program is the completion of study in a Bachelor’s study program (240 ECTS credits). Rules for entrance examinations and admission are set in connection with the Faculty of Philosophy Statute. A student applying for a Master’s study program with a Bachelor’s degree from a different study group will have to take the difference exam if necessary.

Process of Studying: A graduate student with a Master’s degree in Psychology will be equipped with knowledge and understanding of contemporary psychological ideas, theories and concepts; will be trained to evaluate, define, explore and intervene from the psychological point of view; will acquire outstanding communication skills in both presenting the issues and conducting lectures; will have developed both personal and professional ambitions, skills and opinions, which are essential for a graduate student to be in a great condition for using acquired psychological skills for good management of many complex branches of culture, education, public health, administration, scientific and research institutes, etc.

Educational and Professional Goals: A Master’s study program in Psychology is oriented towards developing general and specific theoretical and methodological knowledge and skills in the area of fundamental and applied Psychology essential for performing individual professional responsibilities as well as for conducting various research works.

Course Selection / ECTS: The credit system at the Faculty of Philosophy conforms to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). One academic year corresponds to 60 ECTS credits. In the first semester, within the research module, compulsory courses correspond to 30 ECTS credits, while within the clinical module and at the Psychology of Work, compulsory courses correspond to 8 ECTS credits, elective courses to 18 ECTS credits, and the practical section of the course study corresponds to 4 ECTS credits. In the same semester, within the educational module, compulsory courses correspond to 6 ECTS credits, elective courses to 8 ECTS credits, and the practical section of the course study corresponds to 6 ECTS credits. In the second semester, each research study within any of the modules corresponds to 10 ECTS credits. It is the credit accumulation system and corresponding grades of credits are allocated to subjects that form a part of the study program.

Qualification Awarded: Doctor of Psychology (Ph.D.)

Admission Requirements: An entrance conditions for enrollment in a follow-up Doctoral study program are the completion of study in a Master’s study program (300 ECTS credits), the average grade of 8.00 during Bachelor and Master’s study programs, or at least five published research studies in magazines of national and international recognition. The knowledge of at least one foreign language is mandatory as well. Rules for entrance examinations and admission are set in connection with the Faculty of Philosophy Statute. A student applying for a Doctoral study program with a Master’s degree from a different study group will have to take the differential exam if necessary.

Transfer Regulations: Rules for transferring are set in connection with the Faculty of Philosophy Statute. It is mandatory for a student to have the sufficient number of ECTS credits within the adequate study group allowing a student to transfer or take the differential exam.

Access to Further Studies: The doctoral degree is the highest level of Serbian education system.

Educational and Professional Goals:

The main goal of the Doctoral study program in Psychology is to enable graduate students for a professional and research work at the highest level, including individual creating and conducting research projects as well as educational study courses.

A graduate student with a Doctoral degree in Psychology will be qualified to perform the following:

• To individually resolve and explain practical and theoretical problems concerning general psychological matters
• To think critically, creatively and independently
• To individually create and conduct domestic and international research projects
• To present the research projects’ results at the domestic and international conventions and in scientific magazines in both written and oral form
• To create, organize and incorporate diverse psychological contents in lectures
• To understand and practice the principles of working ethics and act in accordance with rules of Law
• To integrate different psychological ideas and perspectives
• To create original and innovative psychological models and methodological practices in Psychology
• To evaluate existing and create inventive standards for practicing Psychology
• To evaluate existing and create innovative educational programs in accordance with the development of Psychology as a science and professional work

Upon the graduation from the Doctoral study program in Psychology, the graduate student will be expected to have acquired high level of academic and research expertise necessary for conducting theoretical, research and professional work in Psychology, and for staying updated on modern and worldwide psychological trends. The goal is to develop educated professionals and leaders that will support the development of Psychology through theoretical and research work, and who will be trained and qualified for conducting and performing edifying instructions concerning various psychological matters at the institutions of higher education.
