Course objectives: Understanding adult education policies and system as a complex social and organizational phenomenon. Understanding the possibilities of applying the theories of work’s organization on the field of adult education.

Course description: Theoretical course: - Functions and instruments of educational policies; - Social partnership in creating adult education policies; - The relationship between the concept of education, strategies, systems and educational policies; - Theories of the work’s organization and the possibility of their application in the field of adult education; - Determinants of development and structural elements of the adult education system; - Approaches to the study of the adult education system (systemic, economical, empirical, historical, comparative, management approaches); - Adult education system as an education market; - Managing changes / reforms in the adult education system; - Models and forms of educational activities of adults and their organizational characteristics (models of continuous education and training - In service model, lecture, seminar, symposium, conference, counseling, workshops, training, instruction, consultations, self-education, ...). Practical course: - Social context and social partnership as a determinant of the adult education policies and system development; - Educational policy features and instruments at macro and micro level (laws, strategies, policies); - Study of adult education (sub) system; - Organizational models and forms in adult education; - Expert visits and their analysis.

Learning Outcomes: - Understands the functions and instruments of educational policies, as well as the importance of the social partners in their creation; - Understands the theories of the work’s organization and possibilities of their applicability in education; - Understands the determinants and structure of the adult education system.
