Course objectives: Training students for gaining of basic understanding of the historical foundations of contemporary themes and experimental aesthetics.

Course description: Major phenomena and theories of psychology of aesthetic preference and aesthetic experience with an emphasis on experimental research methodology are exemined on deepened level. Aesthetic phenomena are processed from perceptual, cognitive and affective aspects, the physical assembly of aesthetic stimulation, its mathematical description, physiological levels of processing and the structure of aesthetic experience are also considered.
