Pre-requisites: No prerequisites. Acquired knowledge of the following subjects are useful: Perception, Cognitive Psychology, Motivation and Emotion, Individual Differences, Methodology of Psychological Research and Statistics.

Course objectives: 1. Acquiring knowledge about psychological, biological. neural and cultural aspects of aesthetic phenomena. 2. Understanding the theoretical approaches to aesthetic phenomena. 3. Acquiring methods of aesthetic phenomena research.

Course description: a. Factors of aesthetic preference and aspects of experience of beauty. b. Aesthetic communication (perceptual, semantic and emotional processing of artistic pieces). c. Aesthetic experience and psychological function of art.

Learning Outcomes: Mastering the basic knowledge about psychological, biological. neural and cultural aspects of aesthetic phenomena, understanding the basic theoretical approaches and applying the specific methods of aesthetic phenomena research.
