Pre-requisites: For attending the course the student should have passed the following exams: Psychology of Individual Differences, Personality Psychology, Introduction to Developmental Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Fundamentals of Work Psychology.

Course objectives: Developing and expanding theoretical knowledge, concepts and theoretical approaches in the field of career studies, and attainment of guidance and counselling skills and techniques for clients belonging to diverse populations and at different stages of career development.

Course description: The concept and types of careers, career development, approaches to career development and vocational choice in the contemporary context of globalization, transition, job uncertainty and unemployment. Understanding theories of career and applying them in candidate counselling. Techniques of counselling and guidance for career development. Strategies, goals, techniques and programmes for providing information, education, training, mentoring in career guidance and vocational flexibility counselling for members of different populations.

Learning Outcomes: Knowledge and critical understanding of the concepts, theories and techniques as well as mastering the basic intervention skills in the fields of providing information, counselling and guidance in career development.
