Pre-requisites: Passed exam Psychology and Mental Health (general course).

Course objectives: Special part of the course Psychology and Mental Health helps students to better understand how adverse life circumstances (trauma, stress, crisis) affect mental health. Likewise, this course enables students to think and act preventively.

Course description: 1. Temporal and cultural relativity of the concept of mental health; 2. Prejudice related to mental health; 3. Threats to mental health in everyday life.

Learning Outcomes: Acquired knowledge about the concept of mental health and psychological preventive work. Students are trained to develop preventive strategies, be able to react in crisis situations and to organize psychological assistance to disaster victims.
