The Laboratory for Psychology of Work

About the Laboratory

The Laboratory for Psychology of Work was formed in as a separate unit of the Chair of Psychology of Work under the authority of Professor Ivan Štajnberger in 1974, following which the Department of Psychology and the Institute of Psychology have relocated to a Faculty of Philosophy New Building so the Laboratory for Psychology of Work got its own offices on the 2nd floor.

The purpose of the Laboratory is to study and examine various issues concerning Psychology of Work, Psycho-physiology of Work, Ergonomics, and Organizational Psychology and Psychology of Marketing, due to collecting numerous and valuable information necessary for developing new approaches and methods for detecting and solving problems within the areas of the study.

Besides the research work, the Laboratory also collects psycho-technical equipment (tests and test-apparatus) that enables students and teaching personnel of the Department of Psychology while conducting courses and realizing projects. The Director of the Laboratory for Psychology of Work is Professor Svetlana Čizmić.

Projects

Since the establishment, the Laboratory for Psychology of Work has completed numerous research projects specifically concerning various issues within the field of the study, as well as a great number of doctoral and master theses. These research projects have been realized under the authority of the Department of Psychology and included the research effort of experts such as Professor Ivan Štajnberger, Professor Milica Guzina, Professor Radojica Bojanović, Professor Svetlana Čizmić, and Professor Ivana Petrović. The results achieved have been later published in numerous scientific magazines and books.
