Course objectives: Understanding the basic concepts and assumptions of the quality system in education and evaluation as a means to its establishment and improvement, with acquisition of skills for the use of some of the techniques and instruments for evaluation of different aspects of adult education.

Course description: Theoretical course: Actualizing of demands for establishing the quality system in (adult) education – reasons and trends. Basic concepts related to the quality system in education – indicators, standards, projections etc. Models of quality system establishing in adult education. Evaluation as a means of establishing and improving the quality system in education. Evaluation of different aspects of education: institutions, programmes, processes, staff and students’ achievements. Self-evaluation. Practical course: Indicators, techniques and instruments for evaluation of different aspects of adult education (for institutions, programmes, processes, staff and students’ achievements) and for self-evaluation.

Learning Outcomes: Student will understand basic assumptions related to the quality system in adult education, will know the basics of evaluation process and will be capable of designing the strategy and using some of the techniques and instruments for evaluation of different aspects of adult education.
