Course objectives: The goal of course is to familiarize students with the fundamental concepts and issues related to ethnicity and nationalism and the history of ethno-anthropological study of ethnicity and nationalism in the world.

Course description: -Definition of terms "ethnic group", "nation", "ethnicity", "nationalism" -Classification of ethnic groups and nations -Previous approaches to the study of ethnicity and nationalism -Interethnic/international relations and processes -Methods of collecting and processing data related to ethnic / national identity

Learning Outcomes: The expected outcome would be students gaining knowledge and skills necessary for independent research and understanding of ethnic and national identity.
