Pre-requisites: Finished M.A. studies in Classical studies. Passed exams in Byzantine philology I (grad. studies) and Greek language II (grad. studies).

Course objectives: Widening knowledge acquired on previous studies; Ability to analyze works of early Byzantine authors.

Course description: Pagan authors of early Byzantine; church fathers; Reception of ancient tradition, the begining of rhetoric and sophistic; changes in language. Translation of texts, homework.

Learning Outcomes: Enabled to make scientific papers in this field, to participate in scientific projects and in facility of higher education.
